FACILITY

Do I or my guests need to sign a waiver to use the simulator?

Yes, all individuals must sign a waiver before entering the simulator room.

By entering the sim room, you confirm that you’ve read and agree that you have read and signed the waiver, terms, and conditions. You and your guests also agree to release Sim Valley Golf (SVG) from any liability and waive the right to sue in the event of any incidents.

Are there security cameras in the facility?

Yes, Sim Valley Golf is equipped with security cameras for safety and security purposes only. By entering the facility, you consent to being recorded on camera.

 

Does my HUB gym membership work at Sim Valley Golf, and vice versa?

No, the Sim Valley Golf and HUB Merv's gym memberships are separate. A golf membership only grants access to the golf simulators Golf memberships must be purchased online, and the HUB does not sell tee times.

 

How do I enter the facility?

  • Members: Use your access fob to enter through the outside door near Sim Valley Golf. Follow the instructions on your email to access the Sim Valley Golf door.

  • Non-Members: Enter through the HUB’s main entrance during open hours. Follow the instructions on your email to access the Sim Valley Golf door.

Note: The last tee time for non-members is 4:30 PM (Monday–Friday) The HUB doors lock at 4:30 PM. Please make sure your entire group arrives BEFORE 4:30 PM for entry.

No refunds or reschedules for missed tee times.

Please arrive 10 minutes before your tee time to change into clean indoor shoes and set up your game on the sim.

 

Do I need to bring my own golf clubs?

Yes, please clean your clubs prior to tee time.

We do not offer rental clubs

 

Are golf balls and tees provided?

Yes, golf balls and tees are provided. Please do not remove them from the facility.

Please do not bring outside golf balls or tees. Regular tees can damage the turf. Use only the simulator-approved balls and tees provided. And kindly remember not to take them with you by accident — no souvenirs!

Important: For everyone’s safety (and to avoid rogue golf balls), please keep the simulator room door closed at all times. Keep away from the hitting zone.

 

Can I wear golf shoes or attire?

Golf attire is welcome, but clean, casual clothes are fine too—just avoid anything dirty or workwear.

For shoes, no soft spikes—wear clean indoor footwear like sneakers or spikeless golf shoes.

To help the simulator track your ball, avoid white shoes or dark shoes with white markings, and dark clothes with white spots. Stick to solid, medium to dark colors for best accuracy.

 

Does the bay support both left- and right-handed players?

Yes, the simulator bay is designed for both left- and right-handed players.

 

Are children allowed at Sim Valley Golf?

For safety and space reasons, children under 12 are not allowed in the simulator room.

  • Youth golfers (12+) are welcome with an adult.

  • Players 16+ can use the simulator without an adult, but anyone under 19 must have a waiver signed by their legal guardian.

 

What if I damage something in the simulator room or equipment?

You are responsible for any damage caused by misuse or negligence. We may review video footage and take appropriate action.

Can I bring in food or drink?

Allowed (Seating Area Only):

  • Drinks are welcome but must remain in the seating area, away from the turf and electronics (black cabinet/computer area).

Not Allowed:

  • Alcohol

  • Vaping/smoking of any kind

  • Glass water bottles

  • Food

BOOKING

How long should I book for 18 holes?

A good rule of thumb is 1 hour per player for a full 18 hole round. Time starts and ends as scheduled, so arrive a few minutes prior to change into shoes and wrap up on time for the next group. The private bay is booked by the hour, not by hole count.

How many people can play at one time?

Max 4 people in the simulator room at anytime.

 

What are the Membership Benefits?

  • SVG members get exclusive perks:

  • Discounted hourly bay rentals

  • Bring up to 3 guests at discounted hourly rates (Members must book and play to access member rates)

  • 21-day advanced booking - first pick of tee times before public

  • Access 7 days/week, 4:30 AM – 10:30 PM

  • Open weekends and stat holidays to members only

  • Sign-up for leagues, challenges, and events

  • Personal profile with stat tracking and shot data every time you play

How do I buy a membership or book time?

Head to simvalleygolf.com for all bookings, memberships, and drop-in info.
Note: New membership activations may take up to 24 hours to activate before your first play, you must obtain your fob from the HUB and sign the waiver prior to entry - please plan accordingly.

 

I’ve signed up for a membership how do I get my HUB fob?

You must sign up for a fob at the Ashcroft HUB front desk during business hours, if you already have a fob you do not need to sign up for another. The deposit is $25

 

How do I replace or fix my fob?

SVG is not responsible for issuing or maintaining HUB fobs, you will need to contact the HUB if your fob stops working or needs to be replaced

Is the price per person or per hour?

The price is for bay rental per hour, not per person. Whether you have 1 or 4 players, the price remains the same.

 

What are the simulator hours?

  • Members: 7 days a week, 4:30 AM to 10:30 PM.

  • Non-Members: Monday to Friday, 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM.

  • Note: Closed to non-members on Canadian statutory holidays (following HUB’s schedule).

How far in advance can I book?

  • Members: Up to 3 weeks in advance.

  • Non-Members/Drop-ins: Up to 2 weeks in advance.

 

Can I cancel or reschedule my booking?

  • Cancellations: Must be made 48 hours before your booking.

  • Reschedules: Allowed up to 24 hours before your booking (only once per booking).
No cancellations or reschedules within 24 hours of your booking time.

  • No shows or late arrivals do not get extended time, please only play during your booked time

Simulator Errors

Why is the simulator not registering my shots?

Common reasons are ball location or simulator connection issues.

 

How do I know if the simulator is seeing my ball?

When connected, the simulator will flash red lights. Once it detects your ball, the lights will turn solid red, indicating it’s tracking your shot.​

What should I do if the simulator isn’t registering my ball?

There’s a switch on top of the cabinet beside the keyboard. Turn it off, wait 3 minutes, then turn it back on. wait 2 minutes.

Will the simulator work during a power outage?

No, although we remain open in all weather. Power outage situations will be reviewed case by case - please contact us in the event of an outage.

Where should I place my ball when hitting?

  • Woods, Irons, Putters: Near the center of the hitting mat.

  • Driver: About 5 inches back from the front of the mat.
